Its app isn't equipped with advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. It is compatible with Alexa however its voice commands aren't intuitive or responsive. It's also a bit flaky when it returns to the charging station following a run. Other robots can follow the wall or trace the previous route, but the RX3 stumbles around until it gives up.
We also encountered issues with the smart features of the device, such as its mapping feature as well as digital stay-out zones. While it did a great job of keeping away from our shoes and furniture legs but it could easily be hung up by cables and socks, and was unable to handle the tassels that adorn carpets. We decided not to include the Scout RX3 in our Best Buy list.
