The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so that you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt effortlessly and leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.
Its design is also a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't accomplish this feat. It did all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.
While it's not quite as smart as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to determine whether they're working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the best option. This kind of robot usually comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. These bots also have a variety of extra features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock is the manufacturer of several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it's not equipped with some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have lots of furniture. robot vacuum cleaners 's also very thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem which many robot vacuums can really fail. budget robot vacuum Q5+'s navigation system is excellent, with few misses along walls or in corners.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. Through the app, you can start and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed emptying the bin is done with relative ease. It also has an impressive LCD display which is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people however it can help you keep track of the maintenance intervals for your robot effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and function are some of the best on the market - but it's also pricey.
It's a tiny base station that looks stunning and can be hidden when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is that it can automate many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that do very well at cleaning up debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially in the area of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs, meaning it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It also can't climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price price.
If you're looking to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. Many of the eufy models cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive and has more features, including stair climbing and a full-function Dock, which provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets and even high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's simple to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet and have plenty of space to move.
The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The main feature that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. When it needs to recharge, it will automatically return to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it began.
The sleek G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin that doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and it has less trouble with bulky material such as cereal.
