Both robots are adept at removing surface dirt on carpets and hard floors and are able to move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home that help the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. However, unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots that we evaluated the i3+ does not have any obstacle-avoidance features which means it can be stuck on things like socks or power cords and may have issues traversing transitions across surfaces like from hardwood to rug.
iRobot suggests that you clean the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes putting away any toys or other items it might come across. It's also recommended to keep the bin and filter clean so that they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+'s internal bin is filled or the battery is depleted it will return to its docking station, automatically empties its debris into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning the area where it left off. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for about an hour and a half continuous use. It takes around three hours to fully recharge.

In our testing the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our second-placed model and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surface types, including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy it self-empties its dust bin that removes a major source of maintenance and lowers the cost of maintenance.
We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning sessions, move itself around the room, and even vacuum the area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. After being connected, to speak commands to the i7+, for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more mobile than previous Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is significantly better for carpet floors with low pile.
